The Atlanta Market is Heating Up with Franchise Opportunity
July 29, 2020
People everywhere have felt the economic impacts of COVID-19. For many, this time of uncertainty has sparked an interest in franchise ownership, especially in essential industries like residential house cleaning. Becoming a franchise owner provides you the comfort of knowing that your career is completely in your hands, instead of blindly relying on your corporate company. Often times, working in the corporate world means never meeting the top leaders and people who provide your paycheck. Being in business for yourself is one way to add some stability and control to the unknown we’ve all been subject to for most of 2020.
Atlanta Quickly Becoming a Top Market in the Home Service Industry
One geographic area that’s been experiencing growth in the franchise industry is Atlanta. For one private equity firm, the current economic climate has opened up further business opportunity to take over the home service industry throughout the Atlanta metro area. We’re thrilled to welcome our THREE newest franchisees in Northern Atlanta: Jon Ostenson, Allan Young and Christian Pillat.
Jon Ostenson is CEO and partner of FranBridge Capital, a firm in Atlanta that has signed a 10-unit deal with Buzz Franchise Brands. They will open six Home Clean Heroes territories throughout the next year, with the first ones opening this fall, as well as four territories of sister brand Pool Scouts. In addition to these brands, FranBridge Capital already operates an Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning franchise with three territories. Allan and Jon also bring a wealth of knowledge in the franchise space from their time at ShelfGenie prior to running FranBridge Capital, and layered with Christian’s significant experience in the digital space, this trio is a great addition to our HCH family.
The FranBridge Approach
Ostenson and partner Allan Young call their approach to franchise ownership as ‘micro investing.’ They look so sign somewhat smaller agreements as a franchisee while also providing capital to individual franchisees in other systems. They are drawn to the recurring revenue business model and fragmented nature of the current competition for both Home Clean Heroes and Pool Scouts.
Ostenson said, “FranBridge has been an evolution in our thinking. Let’s go after the Atlanta home services market” as an operating franchisee, “and then we’re going to pick 15 to 20 brands and put capital behind active franchisees.”
What Makes Atlanta a Key Market for Franchise Ownership
Having prior experience in this market from Mosquito Joe, which had an established presence in the market, CEO Kevin Wilson said that Atlanta is the perfect place for both a Pool Scouts and Home Clean Heroes. “FranBridge Capital is the perfect partner for Buzz Franchise Brands, and as the first multi-brand franchisee, they will usher in a new era of growth for the company,” Wilson said.
With our newest franchisees already having a strong business foundation in place, we are excited to see Home Clean Heroes thrive in the Atlanta market through their leadership and expertise.
Jon, Allan and Christian will be operating in the North Atlanta area, but there is still more opportunity for franchise ownership in the Atlanta area!
