Joe has pretty much seen it all. He is former owner and operator of his own home services franchise and has years of experience in product development, marketing, sales, customer service and strategic planning. He is a native of New Orleans but grew up in Illinois and has been a Virginia resident for 30 years. Joe knows first-hand the challenges and the rewards of operating your own franchise, meeting customer expectations, hiring and developing employees and managing to your bottom line. When not time-travelling, Joe can be found on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay fishing, as well as spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Kathy spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry, where she learned, above all, to be flexible. Whether driving new customer acquisition or keeping her eye on the customer experience as a facilitator for retention, she knows that exceeding customer expectations is key. Kathy graduated with a degree in business from Elon University in NC, but has called the Northern Virginia/Maryland area home for most of her life. When not enjoying the beach or the water, she and her husband can be found on the sidelines of their children’s sporting events or hosting a gathering for family and friends at their immaculately clean home.
Joe brings a wealth of superhuman organizational, business and vendor management experience from Fortune 500 businesses to the small business world in his role as director of operations. His experience working with organizations across many industries, including independent business owners and franchising brands, contribute to improving processes for Home Clean Heroes brand. His team management and team development background also serve to support and empower franchise owners to achieve success that grows their business. When not using his supersonic operational skills, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Nikki, and their three grown daughters.
Brittany, our franchise business coach, truly lives up to her hero name, she’s super in every way! Brittany has direct field experience from years of training our cleaning technicians and handling the day to day operations, making her well-aware of what it takes to keep employees happy and motivated to bring excellent services to customers. She does a fantastic job supporting our franchisees and helping them tackle the ins and outs of managing their business and providing customers with perfectly clean homes. She also lives in a house full of boys, giving first hand knowledge of the value of defending her customer’s free time from a messy home.
Madison is a Chesapeake native, having recently graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Marketing Concentration. While she has a wide “net” of marketing skills, she excels at content development and writing. When not using her agile writing skills to catch a web of new customers for Home Clean Heroes, Madison enjoys traveling, going to concerts, reading, and playing Nintendo Switch.
Austin James is the perfect (franchising) sidekick. He was born and raised in Norfolk, VA and is a proud alum of James Madison University. Austin started his career with Buzz Franchise Brands and has held prior positions on both the operations and finance side of the business. Now, as a Director of Franchise Development, Austin enjoys getting to know prospective franchise owners and helping guide them through the discovery process. In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach, biking, and boating. He is also a foodie and enjoys cooking new cuisines and tasting different craft beers. Austin lives with his girlfriend Amanda and their Goldendoodle Kylo.
Rita is part of our super-powered franchise development team. In 2010, Rita had the opportunity to transition from Tourism to Franchising by joining an emerging health food franchise and quickly fell in love with the industry. Working with hopeful entrepreneurs became more than an interest—it became a passion. Guiding someone through the journey to business ownership is extremely rewarding and just one of the many reasons she enjoys Franchise Development as much as she does! Rita currently lives in Central Florida with her husband, Christian, and their loyal “delivery man guard dog,” Louie. She is a major bibliophile with a yearly goal of 75-100 books. She also loves traveling, live music, paddle boarding, and hosting themed dinner nights with family and friends during her free time.
Matthew rounds out our stellar franchise development league. Growing up in his family’s restaurant and catering business, Matthew’s life was molded by first-hand experience inside American small business. He has been in the franchising industry for the past 7 years and is thankful for the relationships the industry has allowed him to build. His ability to keep his cool and solve problems in a fast paced environment are some of his natural superpowers. After graduating from The University of South Carolina, he held sales positions with a powersports manufacturer and a multi-brand franchisor. Matthew, his wife Kalen, and their two children reside in Charlotte, NC. Outside of the office, he enjoys fishing, cycling, and playing golf.
Bridget has spent her entire career in the digital space. Originally from Atlanta, she graduated from The University of Georgia (go dawgs!) with a degree in advertising. Starting out at a franchise company that focused on consumer goods, she was able to work across multiple aspects of marketing including brand development, social media and e-commerce. Bridget then took her passion for digital and project management to an Atlanta-based digital marketing agency, where she oversaw several multi-faceted website, design and digital projects. Bridget’s real calling came in October 2016 when she joined Buzz Franchise Brands, where she is able to grime-fight for our franchisees and stretch her powers across multiple brands. When Bridget is not digging into analytics, supporting our franchisees’ digital growth or developing the digital department, you can find her riding her bike, hitting the beach or enjoying a nice glass of wine.
Tiffany has called Virginia her home for most of her life. She grew up in Chesapeake, spent her college years in the mountain town of Harrisonburg (go Dukes!), and now resides in Norfolk. While beginning her career in advertising for travel and tourism clients, it wasn’t long until Tiffany realized her superpowers were meant for supporting grime-fighting franchisees. This cat has the sleek digital skills to battle even the messiest of search engine optimization issues that arise. When not fighting digital marketing crime, she enjoys spending her free time traveling to new places or rollerblading at the boardwalk in Virginia Beach.
Chip, aka, Captain America (he’s lived in 8 states and visited 47 of the 50 states in the USA), brings his passion for service excellence to Buzz Franchise Brands after a career in the music and video distribution business. Chip developed his skills in logistics and operations as vice president of merchandising for a regional retailer in Atlanta, GA and two different distributors in the mid-Atlantic region whose efforts supported the military resale systems. His experience has prepared him to deliver world-class support as the direct mail program manager for the network of franchisees in the Buzz Franchise Brands family. Chip is a father of two sons, a 25 year “native” of Virginia Beach, a weekend golfer and a volunteer in a local mentoring program where he feeds his desire to help others reach their goals.
Chandler graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Business Admin/Marketing. Ever since joining the team, Chandler has been instrumental in the success of the direct mail program. This Scarlet Witch has unparalleled mastery of magic when it comes to the various spreadsheets, scheduling, and processes that make up the different moving parts of the direct mail program. When not using her mystic forces to help franchise owners find success through the direct mail program, Chandler enjoys going to the beach, breweries, and music festivals.
