Home Clean Heroes 2022 Year in Review

Home Clean Heroes, the 14-unit residential cleaning franchise, marked the close of 2022 with notable achievements across the brand. The company saw its franchise system grow with 40% more customers and 57% more services– over 18,000 nationwide! To wrap up 2022, Home Clean Heroes held its first in-person convention in sunny Cancun to celebrate franchisee’s notable accomplishments, as well as a remarkable first year of fundraising with the Heroes First initiative.

“I’m very proud of all of the growth Home Clean Heroes has had both from bringing on new franchisees and expanding our footprint into new states and bringing in more customers and revenue,” said Joe Delatte, brand president. “We’ve had a fantastic year and expect the momentum to continue.”

Notable Growth for our Heroes in 2022

Home Clean Heroes ended the year with four agreements signed, including Salt Lake Valley, Utah; North Houston, TX; North Pinellas, FL; and East Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. Franchisees in West Houston, North Pinellas County, Salt Lake Valley and Metro Atlanta each began operations in 2022, taking prime advantage of the growing segment worth $6 billion.

Home Clean Heroes wrapped up the calendar year with sales up a whopping 72% year-over-year. There were also considerable strides in expanding the customer base, growing the number of active recurring clients system-wide by 67%, which in turn increased recurring revenue per clean by 84%.

Much of the brand’s success is due to its passionate and dedicated franchise owners, several of which ended the year by exceeding both their own business plan goals, as well as the goals set by Home Clean Heroes. ‘Budget Beater’ Jeff Ruiz in the Peninsula region of Virginia leveraged his business to see a 26% revenue increase for the year. Home Clean Heroes of Tampa Bay owner, Adeola Shabiyi, was up an impressive 146% year-over-year since his launch in 2021, and Kristin Humphrey from West Houston surpassed budget while operating in her first year of business.

Launching the Heroes First Initiative

One of the biggest wins for the year was the launch and success of the Heroes First initiative, a philanthropic partnership with First Responders Children’s Foundation. Since January, Home Clean Heroes has donated a portion of every cleaning service fee, a match made by both the franchisee and franchisor, to the organization, which helps families of first responders who have been injured or lost in the line of duty.

“The brand donated over $18,000 throughout the year through the Heroes First initiative,” Delatte said. “It’s given an important dynamic and dimension to Home Clean Heroes — a truly mission-based differentiator. It’s allowed a way for our franchisees to give back to their communities.”

Additional Employee Benefits

Also a notable differentiator in the past year, Home Clean Heroes has focused in on internal advancements to aid with finding qualified employees and retaining them amidst a difficult labor market. The corporate team continues to work with franchisees to recruit talent on job posting sites, funds advertising campaigns for hiring and is also recently rolled out a new system this month with virtual health provider Teladoc that is available to frontline workers.

“This will provide free access to doctors 24/7 for virtual appointments,” Delatte said. “It’s for them and their dependents and is offered at zero cost to the employees.”

First In-Person Convention

In November, Home Clean Heroes had the opportunity to close out the year by hosting its first-ever in-person convention, in Cancun, Mexico. The multi-day event facilitated a chance for key players in the brand to network, share best practices and meet with peers and vendors. The concluding Awards Dinner allowed for an opportunity to recognize the system’s top-performing franchise owners in their categories.

“All attendees felt re-energized after attending the convention,” said Kathy Turley, director of marketing. “Franchisees felt that they were leaving with new ideas and great information from our brand network. We are excited to facilitate more of these events as our community grows, as the opportunity to collaborate in person is a rewarding part of franchising.”

In 2023, Home Clean Heroes is using the momentum of its growing industry to continue to improve upon the successful milestones met in the previous year. Home Clean Heroes is seeking qualified entrepreneurs across the United States who can aid in the brand’s vision to become a top choice in the residential cleaning segment in 2023.
