A Year of Growth for our Flagship Franchisee
December 30, 2020
While everyone is ready to leave the chapter of 2020 behind us and move on to 2021, it’s important to recognize some of the growth and achievements that were made over the past year within the Home Clean Heroes franchise. We’d like to recognize one specific franchisee on surpassing their goals in 2020. Our Home Clean Heroes flagship franchisees, Jeff and Jessica Ruiz of Home Clean Heroes of the Peninsula, have achieved significant growth throughout the year! As a young, sharp couple in the well-established franchise industry, they are driving strategic direction for customer acquisition and revenue generation through online, traditional and social media channels.
Get to Know Flagship Franchisees Jeff and Jessica
Jeff and Jessica live in Toano, Virginia with their two children. They have resided in the area for the past eight years. When initially looking into business opportunities, they were attracted to the home cleaning industry because of the flexibility it offered. They wouldn’t have to work evening and weekend hours, so that they could spend that time with family.
Prior to becoming franchise owners, Jeff worked as a database senior advisor for a health insurance company, and Jessica worked in hospitality for Great Wolf Lodge. With their combined experience, they are a perfect fit for owning a Home Clean Heroes franchise.
The Ruiz’s decided on Home Clean Heroes because of the strong operational and marketing support systems in place. Jeff describes the support as “accessible and approachable” with full confidence that the corporate team are experts in the field, and better able to guide them to make the best decisions for their business. They were also drawn to the bright and clean look of the Home Clean Heroes logo, which showed them that Home Clean Heroes is a professional company that cares about their image and the quality of work that they do.
New Customer Growth Soared Despite COVID-19
On the heels of just one year in essential business ownership, the Ruiz’s beat their goal for new customer recruitment by 6%! Despite March and April being slower months, with many people hesitant to have additional outside people in their homes to clean, the following months more than made up for it. May started to bounce back, and then from June through December, business continued to climb as the Ruiz’s focused on providing clean and healthier homes to their community.
Revenue on the Rise
When looking at data from December, one of the busiest months, compared against April, the slowest month of 2020, there was a 534% increase in revenue. Month over month comparisons are also trending positively, with a 9% increase in revenue from November to December. Despite the unexpected slower months in Q1, the remainder of the year has more than made up for it.
Looking Ahead to 2021
With the rapid growth and goal achievements in 2020, the Ruiz’s are looking to expand in 2021! They plan to open a new territory in Richmond, and are excited to continue providing professional house cleaning services to their neighboring communities.
