With Great Cleaning Comes Great Responsibility

Consumers in today’s world don’t only care about the product or service they’re buying, they care about the type of company they’re buying a product or service from. “Is my laundry detergent environmentally friendly”? “What is that clothing store doing for the community”? It’s no longer just about how well a product or service works, but what it’s doing to give back to the community.

Home Clean Heroes is More Than A Service

People want to give their brand loyalty to companies that are making a positive impact in the world. While Home Clean Heroes is focused on providing the gift of a clean home to people, we are committed to so much more than that. We have a few efforts that we’re passionate about, and this is the perfect time of year to reflect on the meaningful work we do as we head into the holiday season. If you are thinking about opening a Home Clean Heroes franchise, know that you’re also aligning yourself with meaningful initiatives. Read on to see the different ways we’re involved in our communities.

Cleaning for a Reason

Home Clean Heroes supporting the Susan G. Komen Walk with a tentHome Clean Heroes is a proud partner of Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit serving patients undergoing cancer treatment. Each year, the Home Clean Heroes team provides two complimentary house cleaning services to patients so that they have one less thing to think about while going through such an emotional and difficult time. The only requirement to receive the house cleaning is that the homes be within the company’s existing service areas in South Hampton Roads including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake.

Kathy Turley, Home Clean Heroes Director of Marketing, said, “We believe that every home needs a hero and providing complimentary cleaning services to cancer patients lets us help families maintain some sense of normalcy during a turbulent and emotional time.  Having lost both my parents to cancer within a year of one another, I know first-hand how comforting it can be to have the housekeeping tasks taken care of.”

And being that our headquarters are in Virginia Beach, we also participate in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk that takes place in October during breast cancer awareness month.

Heroes Fighting Hunger

Another effort that Home Clean Heroes takes part in each holiday season is the Heroes Fighting Hunger food drive. Our local operation in Virginia Beach collects grocery store gift cards, canned goods and other non-perishable food items from our customers on behalf of Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore from mid-November through the end of December.

During the first week in January, our team will drop off the canned goods at the food bank to be given to families in need in the local community. We choose to do the food drive this time of year, since food banks often get the most donations around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but then are depleted by the time the new year rolls around.

Caring for Your Community

It’s important to have a cause you stand behind, and we are so proud to be partnered with both Cleaning for a Reason and Heroes Fighting Hunger. Helping people through difficult times in our local community brings joy and satisfaction to our work, and we are happy to have such involved customers who care about the work we’re doing. This corporate social responsibility we’ve dedicated ourselves to has truly made us a better brand. If you are considering starting a business or buying a franchise, consider Home Clean Heroes, with a business model that gives back.
